***This is an Agreement that Accentuates on Enhancements (Section 11) While Maintaining the Professional Conduct and Consistency of our Organization***

This agreement is made between TEAMiSHINE DJs ("the Company") and [DJ's Name] ("the DJ"), effective as of [Date].

1. Professional Conduct:

  • The DJ agrees to treat all talent, staff, and affiliates of the Company with respect. Any negative or unprofessional remarks about other DJs, their families, or close friends are strictly prohibited.

  • The DJ will be in communication with the Company about any questions they may have and will address those questions, comments, and/or concerns with the Company before the client

2. Substance Use:

  • The DJ shall refrain from consuming alcohol, smoking, vaping, or using any illegal substances before, during, and after all DJ events/weddings.

3. Dress Code:

  • The DJ must adhere to a professional dress code at all events. A button-down shirt with a suit and tie is mandatory for weddings and formal events. Semi-Formal Wear is button down with pants. Pro-Casual Wear is a polo or sweater with pants. All dress styles must be accompanied with dark colored closed toe shoes. Casual wear such as jeans, athletic apparel, sneakers, sandals, slippers, and/or shorts is not permitted.

4. Personal Grooming:

  • The DJ is expected to maintain good hygiene and be properly groomed at all times during events.

5. Behavior:

  • The DJ agrees to refrain from any form of violence, confrontations, or aggressive behavior towards other DJs, vendors, clients, or guests.

  • In the event of any aggressive incidents, the DJ agrees to consult with the Company before taking any action.

6. Punctuality and Reliability:

  • The DJ is required to be punctual and reliable in all communications and arrangements with other DJs, vendors, and clients. Arrival at the venue should be at least two (2) hours before a wedding event and at least one (1) to one and a half (1.5) hours before regular events. Early access to a venue (e.g., the day before) must be arranged in advance with the venue.

  • DJ agrees to reach out to their client within 24 hours of booking as an introduction, touch base one month before the event, and set up a review meeting within that one-month time frame.

7. Fair Competition:

  • The DJ shall not undercut or compete with other DJs when “Book it Yourself” DJ events are offered.

  • The DJ agrees not to accept or schedule any other event during the time of the contracted event either directly or immediately before/during/after. 100% day of commitment

8. Event Performance:

  • The DJ must personally perform at this contracted event. Delegating responsibilities, including but not limited to MC hosting, ceremony audio, mixing, and playing music, to another individual is not allowed.

  • The DJ agrees to familiarize himself/herself with the music selections requested at hand from client and to practice and learn the tracks.

  • The DJ agrees to bring and arrange a professional and clean set up to the event with items including (but not limited to): (1) taped down cables, (2) speakers on stands and not on the floor or table, (3) an inviting and welcoming space that is content ready for photographers and/or videographers

  • If the DJ needs to rent equipment from the Company, the DJ acknowledges that the Company will need to take compensation from the agreed upon fee to pay for it.

9. Engagement and Presence:

  • The DJ must be fully engaged during events and weddings. Casual cellphone use, sitting at the DJ booth, taking extended bathroom breaks, roaming the venue, or bringing unauthorized guests is strictly prohibited.

  • If DJ needs to bring a personal assistant, the personal assistant cannot be at the venue by themselves without the DJ and must be approved by the client

10. Insurance:

  • The DJ is recommended to carry business/DJ insurance for all events/weddings and keeping it up to date/current. If the DJ seeks supplemental day of insurance from the Company, the DJ acknowledges that the Company will need to take compensation from the agreed upon fee to pay for it and further acknowledges full responsibility of all his/her’s actions during the event.

11. Equipment and Packages:

  • The DJ must honor the Event Order DJ Packages as agreed upon. Substituting or reducing the amount of equipment is not permitted without prior approval.

  • [As of February 20th, 2025] Under the revised talent-based model of iShine Music Production, DJs are responsible for providing the necessary equipment to execute their performance. This includes ensuring that all essential gear is available to meet event requirements. By default, DJs must have a minimum of two speakers, dance lights (available upon request), wireless microphones, wired microphones, lapel microphones (if required), and at least one to two additional speakers for backup or for separate event spaces such as ceremonies or cocktail hours. If a lapel microphone is requested, the DJ must provide it. If an extra speaker is needed for a separate event space, such as a ceremony or cocktail hour, the DJ is responsible for supplying it.

    Any equipment necessary within the scope of the DJ’s performance is included in the agreed-upon performance fee, and DJs will not receive additional compensation for for fulfilling these requirements and ensuring the event's success. Services such as photo booths and room uplighting are considered third-party add-ons and are not included in the DJ’s standard equipment responsibilities.

  • [For ENHANCEMENTS] The DJ will provide enhancements under the branding of iShine Music Production/TEAMiSHINE DJs and retains full responsibility for the setup, operation, maintenance, and technical performance of the items provided, including but not limited to as options: Photo Booth, Uplighting, Monogram, and Dancing on a Cloud services.

    "The Company" shall not be held liable for any equipment malfunctions, software errors, or resulting client dissatisfaction directly caused by the DJ’s provided equipment or services.

    The DJ agrees to be reachable and to respond promptly to any technical issues that arise during the event.

    In the event of client complaints, damages, or refund requests specifically related to these items, the DJ agrees to handle all resolutions and to reimburse 100% of any related costs to "The Company" for internal malfunctions, errors, or failures attributable to the DJ’s provided equipment or services.

    Reimbursements shall be paid within 3 days of written notice from "The Company."

12. Event Attendance:

  • Skipping or “ghosting” scheduled DJ events/weddings is grounds for immediate termination from TEAMiSHINE DJs. If the DJ is unable to attend a scheduled event, a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice is required. In case of short notice, the DJ is expected to assist in finding a replacement and reviewing the event/wedding details before relinquishing duties.

13. Representation:

  • The DJ agrees to represent TEAMiSHINE DJs professionally at all events and in any business-related communications, including the official group chat (GroupMe).

  • To prevent confusion from clients, vendors, and/or the venue, the DJ agrees not to hand out personal (or personal professional) business cards at event or give contact info to their own endeavors at event. Furthermore, if the DJ wants to post content on social media pertaining to the event, the DJ must get permission from client and give credit to the Company (TEAMiSHINE DJs, iShine DJs, or any format thereof)

14. Payment and Finalization:

  • All payouts for events and weddings are final once issued. Any disputes regarding payment must be addressed promptly and within the terms outlined by the Company.

  • The DJ is responsible for filing their own taxes

  • The DJ agrees that the Company will pay him/her timely within 3 business days or sooner once event starts.

  • The DJ acknowledges that all General State Rules (OH) and IRS Rules apply as an Independent Contractor. The DJ is responsible for any extra compensation on the day of the event, including but not limited to overtime hours, early starts beyond contracted time, or additional equipment and services provided outside the original agreement. Any overtime or early start hours must be approved by client and the Company.

  • The DJ understands that TEAMiSHINE DJs is not responsible for reimbursement of any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment, medical emergencies, or personal expenses such as parking, gas, lodging, etc.

15. Confidentiality:

  • The DJ agrees to keep all proprietary information, including but not limited to client lists, event details, and operational processes, confidential and not to disclose them to any third party.

  • The DJ agrees not to disclose the client's information to any marketing tools, including mailing lists, text messaging lists, or newsletter publications.

16. Termination:

  • The Company reserves the right to terminate this agreement for any breach of the terms listed above.

  • If the client terminates this agreement, the DJ and the Company will collaborate to determine a minor cancellation fee for the DJ.

By signing below, the DJ acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions of this agreement.
